This weeks Spot the Watch focuses on Hollwyood actor and producer Brad Pitt. He is known to be a watch guy and has been spotted wearing various timepieces throughout his career. We took a look the cornucopia of images available on the web and spotted a few interesting timepieces of note.
Brad Pitt has been photographed with a stainless steel Patek Philippe Nautilus previously. The iconic Nautilus designed by Gerald Genta always seems to be a favourite of watch collectors. Italian soccer star Andrea Pirlo owns at least two different models. We spotted Brad Pitt with a couple of different Patek Philippe models, one modern and one vintage.
The first model spotted on his wrist, is the Ref 5205 Annual Calendar in rose gold. The black dial certainly gives the watch a dressier look and the applied gold indices for the hour markers provides a nice contrast.
The next model spotted on his wrist is from Cartier. It isn’t a regular Tank, Santos or Ballon Bleu. The model is the Tank à guichet, which was a limited edition of 100 pieces in Pink Gold. It features a jumping hour and wandering minute indication. A cool model that certainly looks different from normal Cartier watches.
The next watch spotted is a vintage Patek Philippe. We noticed the vintage Ellipse on his wrist during the trailer for By The Sea. The choice of timepiece is interesting and quite off the cuff. We think this was his own personal choice and not a prop since the movie was directed by his wife Angelina Jolie Pitt. We are not sure if it is stainless steel or gold but the mesh bracelet is quite nifty.
Another shot from the film, with the watch in question.
The final watch spotted is from A. Lange & Söhne. It is the Lange 1 Timezone in Rose Gold. This awesome dual time watch combines the signature Lange 1 elements with the ability for the wearer to track a 2nd timezone. The photo below may not show it clearly but we have confirmed with other photos seen it is the Lange 1 Timezone.
That concludes this weeks Spot the Watch!
