Roundup of horological events over the last month

We missed the last fortnightly roundup…it was intentional. We were in the midst of the post Watches & Wonders writing frenzy, that we thought we’d bring you the good stuff from Hong Kong first, and delay the roundup and roll it up to one for the month. In this roundup, we will cover the events for the whole month, but will leave out the double and triple daily events in Hong Kong around Watches & Wonders.

We begin with the showing of a special IWC

The occassion: to show the IWC 75th Anniversary piece unique for Revolution which was to be auctioned off by Sotheby’s in Hong Kong on October 6. We carried a full review of the watch here.

At the event attended by top IWC collectors, the watch was introduced by Matthiew Dupont, MD of IWC South East Asia, and Dr Bruce Lee, Co-Founder Revolution. And the beneficiary of the proceeds, Smile Asia‘s Dr. Vincent Yeow spoke about the work of the charity.

post note: The IWC 75th Anniversary piece unique for Revolution was sold in the Sotheby’s auction for HKD 243,750 (USD 31,451)j, and full proceeds go to Smile Asia’s free surgery program for children with facial deformities.

HYT appoints Sincere Fine Watches Launch Event October 8.

HYT CEO Vincent Perriard and Sincere CEO Ong Ban celebrated their partnership on Oct 8.

The event was attended by guests from HYT and Sincere. The very interesting HYT H3 was shown and made its rounds among the guests with great exclamations of oohs and ahhs. Magnificent watch indeed. We reviewed the watch here.

From now, customers can view and buy HYT watches from Sincere Watch.

 

Press Briefing and Collector Dinner for Anderson Genève October 15

Anderson Genève’s CEO Pierre-Alexandre Aeschlimann was present to show to journalists the new Tempus Terrae.

Following the Press Meet and Greet, Pierre-Alexandre went on to host a private Collector’s Party organized by Deployant. The guests requested for no photos, so we will not be bringing you any pictures of the event.

 

Tudor Black Bay Black Launch Event October 15

Singapore was the only Launch Party for the newly announced, and already well received Tudor Black Bay Black. The event had glitter from the local TV. And guests mingled with cocktails and got to see the new watch.

That’s the month that was. It was a busy month, with the events covered above and Watches & Wonders showcasing in Hong Kong from September 30 to October 3.
