For Baselworld 2015, Manufacture Contemporaine du Temps – MCT is introducing a new range of watches to complement their successful Sequential collection. Introducing the Frequential range and the first watch in the new collection: The MCT Frequential One F110.
On first glance, the watch looks like it was made for the X-Men. This gives it a cool factor right away. With the balance wheel in the centre of the watch, supported by the arms in each corner, it creates an X like shape. This is definitely a visually appealing watch. MCT wanted to create a watch that featured a centrally suspended balance wheel, while displaying the hours and minutes.
This central escapement, with its Swiss pallets, boasts a variable-intertia balance wheel married with a Breguet terminal curve – a combination that offers increased accuracy of timekeeping.

The watch displays the hours and minutes, and the power reserve indicator is located at the 12 o’clock position. The hour and minute hands are guided, by a ball bearing, seen on the outside of the central escapement and placed on a ruby roller.

A number of finishing techniques have been used throughout the movement ranging most classical to the most high-tech: brushed, polished, stippled, bead-blasted, & Cotes de Genève. The movement is the MCT-F1.0, which is hand wound and features two barrels.

The watch is 42mm in size and the classic cushion form case is made from Titanium and has been treated with DLC Coating.
To complete the watch it comes on a “Carbon Black Alligator” Strap with a double deployment buckle in Titanium.

anti-reflective treatment. Rear crystal made of sapphire
with anti-reflective on the inside side. Middle
crystal made of sapphire.
DIAL
Dark grey dial plate adorned with “Côtes de Genève”.
Black dial-train made of 4 hand-chamfered appliques,
white indexes and numerals.
STRAP
Alligator “Carbon Black”, double hand stitched with
anti-allergic inner leather. Double deployment clasp in
Titanium Grade 5, composed of 18 parts.
