The Tudor Black Bay One Reference 7923/001 a unique piece for Only Watch 2015

Tudor has received rave reviews for creating new models based on design elements of old Tudor timepieces.  The Tudor Black Bay One Reference 7923/001 is based on the vintage Tudor Submariner reference 7923, a relatively unknown model from the 1950’s.  It was only diver’s watch Tudor ever made with a hand-wound movement.

The Tudor Black Bay One Reference 7923/001 borrows the original’s aesthetic codes including a glossy black dial with gilt printing, gold baton hands, two lines of text including the depth rating – printed in red on this unique watch, and patinated luminous hour markers.

All in the details: The Tudor Rose on the crown and accentuated bevels and chamfers on the lugs

The contemporary-sized, 41 mm case houses a self-winding Tudor caliber 2824 movement, and retains the accentuated bevels and chamfers found on the lugs of the original. A prominent and large screw-down crown adorned with the Tudor rose, domed sapphire crystal, and stainless steel bracelet with historic, tube-type attachments.

Old and New Side by Side

We love the use of red for the bezel maker and the depth rating.  The watch really does look very good!  Even though it is not a 100% the original, this is another home run by Tudor.

This watch will surely have bidders from all over the world, vying to have the winning bid!
