Christophe Claret Maestro Mamba is a bold and daring watch: a venomous snake sculpted around the movement, decorating gems and beautiful finishes.
An invitation to the jungle – this is how we can describe the wrist jungle proposal of Christophe Claret. Two watches inspired by the most venomous snakes of the African jungle. And even more, an invitation to wear a part of Africa on your wrist.
For more authenticity, the Maestro Mamba watches come with real green Mamba snake leather straps. The snake was hunted in Mozambique, on the land belonging to the owner of the largest tsavorite mine. This is also a motive for the choice of tzavorite gems to decorate these versions of Maestro.
Maestro Mamba has nothing to hide from the courageous enough ones. Just like the jungle, the timepiece reveals everything to the ones daring to explore it.
The Maestro Mamba comes with a black PVD-treated titanium case, at 42 mm diameter. The watch is covered by an impressive sapphire crystal dome, to fit the bold and multi-dimensional construction of the dial and the movement.
The dial is out of this world. It transposes you directly in the African jungles, where, a Mamba snake is sinuously taking the movement as pray. Most of the movement’s components are visible on the dial side.
Claret Maestro Pantherophis has the same construction and finishes as the Maestro Mamba, but with the colouristic of another African venomous snake – the Pantherophis.
The multi-dimensional construction reveals an impressive amount of details. From the snake’s undulating hand-engraved body, wrapped around the entire movement, until the twenty-six interior angles of the skeletonised bridges, the Maestro Mamba denotes pure Christophe Claret breed. The gems decorating the minute tracks, the balance’s bridge and the MEMO function are perfectly integrated into the scene.
An impressive element is the patented two cone date, placed at 5 o’clock. The MEMO mechanical reminder is, in equal measure, a beautiful and useful feature. Visible between three and four o’clock, the MEMO function can be used as a reminder using a pusher at 2 ’clock. A simple press will display, instead of the tzavorite gem, a diamond. This reminder is available for twenty minutes. The MEMO returns to its usual state autonomously. It is driven by a semi-instantaneous jump system.
Claret Maestro Pantherophis and the Maestro Mamaba, as well, have the all printing, engravings and gem decoration done in the same colour scheme as the strap.
