For Baselworld 2015, Tag Heuer revamps the Carrera collection by introducing a new model with a completely new movement, named after the founder of the company Edouard Heuer: Introducing the Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer 01
It features a new generation TAG Heuer case. Made from light titanium for greater shock resistance, it is constructed differently, no longer the single piece traditionally used by TAG Heuer, but modular with 12 different components. At 45mm it will make a statement on the wrist.

This allows for many different combinations to be used, such as a mixture of colours, materials, finishes and treatments.
The new design features an openworked dial, allowing the wearer to glance at the inner workings of the “engine” and view the chronograph parts and date wheel.

Viewable through the sapphire case back, the column wheel has been coloured red, the chronograph bridge has been coloured black and the skeletonised rotor allows for an uninterrupted view of the movement.
It will be available for under $5,000 CHF, which represents great value for an in house movement.
