For those who prefer a slightly smaller watch, IWC for SIHH 2016 has released the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36.
There are 5 models and they come with 3 different dial combinations. As its name suggests the stainless steel case for all the watches is 36mm. It is the smallest watch in IWC’s current collection.
The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 with a slate-coloured dial and contrasting white indices is supplied with a dark brown Santoni alligator leather strap (Ref. IW324001).

The stainless-steel bracelet is made up of alternating rows of satin-finished and polished links. Combined with the polished bezel and slate-coloured dial, the result is a perfect example of sports watch-inspired elegance.
The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 with silver-plated dial and blue indices is available with either a blue alligator leather strap from Santoni (Ref. IW324003).
Or a stainless-steel bracelet with satin-finished and polished links (Ref. IW324004).

An additional version with a silver-plated dial is available with gold-coloured indices and a dark brown Santoni alligator leather strap. (Ref. IW324005).

Apart from hour, minute and seconds hands, the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 also has a rapid-advance date display,all powered by the rugged mechanical self winding 35111 calibre. The central hacking seconds is stopped by pulling out the crown, while the sapphire glass has an anti-reflective coating on both sides to guarantee a clear view of the display. The watch is water-resistant to 6 bar. It has a power reserve of 42 hours. It also features a soft inner iron cage to protect the watch from magnetic fields.
We think these new additions are very nice and for those with smaller wrists they will be a perfect fit.
