Voutilainen-3

Only Watcth 2015: Kari Voutilainen GMT-6. A piece unique

Kari Voutilainen is known for his attention to detail, level of finishing, movement design and stunning dials.  This piece is no exception.  This unique “GMT-6” timepiece features an exquisite Grand-Feu enamel dial.   Fitted with a GMT mechanism that keeps track of two time zones, the white gold, hand-guilloché dial of the GMT-6 is enameled at the center, with a day-night indicator at 6 o’clock illustrated by two enameled appliqués. Impeccably hand-finished throughout, it is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39 mm.  The depth of the blue Grand Feu is captivating and a lovely contrast is provided by the day/night indicator of half blue and yellow and the roman numerals of 3, 9 and 12.

Voutilainen-2

The entirely designed, produced, and finished movement made by Kari Voutilainen

This timepiece features the same movement found in the normal production Kari Voutilainen GMT-6 models, efficient movement entirely designed, produced, and finished at  the workshop of Kari Voutilainen.  It features two escape wheels in a configuration that directly impulses the balance wheel, yielding improved longevity and stability.

We could spend a long time just staring at the movement with a loupe.

Engraved on the back of the stainless steel case is “Only Watch” and “Unique Piece”

We have a feeling there will be a lot of bidders for this watch!
