Claude Bernard Watchmaking Workshop: Disassembly and Reassembly of a quartz movement – July 2

We begin the horological events fortnight with an Interesting concept, a watchmaking workshop to disassemble and reassemble a quartz movement in combination with a chocolate masterclass with Chocolatier Chef Janice Wong. Deployant attended the event with some of our friends at the NUS Horological Club.

The watchmaking workshop comprise of the tasks of removing the movement from the case, removing the dial and hands and reinstalling. A quartz standardization movement was provided, and it proved to be fun for the participants. The chocolate making workshop followed and had the participants enjoy making desserts for themselves. Interesting concept and initiative by Crystal Time.

Tudor Pop Up Store July 2

We waxed lyrical over the BaselWorld 2015 novelty from Tudor – their North Flag in these pages, and finally it arrived in Singapore. A special pop up store was set up at Wisma Atria, a collaboration between Tudor Watch Singapore and Emperor Watch.

Instead of the usual formal dinner, the Lange team threw a delightful party with the king of fruits, which is in full season. The party was held at Revolution Coffee, a specialist cafe in the Bohemian Portsdown area in Singapore, where colonial buildings share space with modern steel structures of Biopolis and Mediapolis.

A special auction of Lange prints were also part of the evening, with all proceeds going to the MILK (Mainly I love kids) foundation. Fun evening.
